But this massive overload is broadcasted to the world every day and luckily in all languages. Have you ever wondered how is information converted into translation? if not, then let us take you on a wonderful journey.
How Information Is Converted in Translation?
One of the biggest blessing’s humans have, is the ability to speak. There are different ways of communication humans adopted since he was born. Back in those times when the world was not connected like today people used to understand other languages by learning them.
Now the question arises that learning a language is not easy and is this approach acceptable in today’s world? The answer is no. In early times people had to encounter only a few languages. But now through the Internet, we can connect to people of several languages with just a click. In human capacity, it is not possible or easy to learn so many languages.
So, the translation process is important to preserve and share the information with other fellow beings. For example, we can read the literature of other languages in our native languages nowadays. But how is this possible? Of course, through the process of translation and interpretation.

The Translation Is Key to Connect Cultures
People living in America know about the culture like lifestyle, cuisine, traditions, events, and literature et cetera of Korea because the language barrier is no longer a hurdle. The language barrier is the biggest communication barrier. And when people cannot communicate with each other it is very difficult to connect different cultures.
Languages and cultures are strongly linked. But thanks to the technology and translation machinery that you do not have to be bilingual to understand what a person from a different culture is saying and doing.
Even most of the social media apps nowadays have a feature of viewing translation like Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, etc. This feature is to reduce the language barrier and make World a global village.
Is Translated Piece of Information Is Equivalent to The Original Text?
If we are talking about books and literature then the translation is maybe not equal to the original text. Because most people do not like translated books and translated pieces of literature. This is because a literature freak or a linguistic freak is obsessed with the flavor of languages.
But there are exceptions where the translated books are well-liked more than the original language. In the case of sharing the information translated piece of information can be considered equivalent to the original text.
Because people are more interested in the information rather than the delicacy of words. The delicacy of words can also be retained in the text if a good translator is available. As translation is an art and art is fully dependent on the artist.
But for general information and entertainment videos translation is playing an important role. Even informational videos on YouTube have subtitles in different languages for people around the globe who do not understand English or any other native language.
Through Translation, International Media Is Getting Diverse
In the world of social media, mass media and print media are still a big source of information. With time international media become more diverse because it has reduced the language barrier through translation.
People from transcultural backgrounds are the ones who deserve credit. Because a good translator is always bilingual or multilingual with strong linguistic skills.
Nowadays we focus on diversity in every field make sure everyone on the planet is getting the same number of facilities and rights. But the diversity in media is very important because it reflects different cultures, awareness, important political issues, and everything in life.
So, media is playing its role by translated articles, translated news, translated documentaries, etc. This is because if there is news in English not only English people will understand but the whole world can understand the important issues and the information.
Tips To Do Translation Accurately
The translation is an art. Art usually does not have rules you can do anything which makes it perfect. No doubt it is a complex process but here are simple tips to make it easy and fun.

Do Not Just Change the Meanings of Words
Simply giving the meaning to the words can lead to ambiguous results. So always keep the structure of the sentence in the mind and translate the sentence with correct grammar syntax.
Secondly, search for the phrases as well. Sometimes idioms do not mean exactly according to the words. For example, the English phrase “beating around the Bush” does not mean that you are beating someone behind or around bushes.
It means unnecessary talk or dragging the talk without purpose. Likewise, every language has different idioms which do not mean exactly according to the words. So be very careful while the translation process.
Don’t Explain Sentences
This is a core difference between interpreting and translating any text. Translation means to produce the same copy of any document into and another foreign language.
It does not mean that you have to explain the meaning or the context of the document. All you need to do is creating the copy in another language of that original document.
Clarity Is a Must
In most cases, when any beginner Translator is doing the project, the text is more likely to be very vague. This is the issue most translators face while translating technical and official documents. Avoid using difficult synonyms and unclear terminology to increase the clarity of your text.
Keep in mind that simple text is more readable than text with fancy words. If there is a document whose audience is a layman then you should keep the text simple for better understanding. But if there is any document like a legal document or any precedent then you can use the legal terminology of the target language.
Avoid Passive Voice
Translating any document is already a difficult task don’t make it more complex by using passive voice. Passive voice also destroyed the readability of the text because people like to read simple and understandable sentences rather than long and difficult ones.
Keep your sentences short but clear. Avoid using difficult synonyms and avoid putting just meanings of words. Understand the information which is provided in the source document and try to translate it as a whole instead of doing translation sentence by sentence.
